Toasted Cashews with Turmeric, Pepper and Honey

WHAT I LOVE:  I whipped these up in 5 minutes so yes they can be made in a flash. They taste great, cashews are filling as they are high in fat and protein, the turmeric and pepper combo provide anti-inflammatory powers and the honey well it just adds a little bit of stickiness and yummy-ness to it all.

  • 1 cup of cashews or any nut combo you have
  • Turmeric
  • cracked pepper
  • honey
DIRECTIONS
  1. You can roast in the oven on 180deg for 15mins or just place in a pan on a medium heat. Please keep an eye out so it doesn't  burn.
  2. Sprinkle on the turmeric as much as you can tolerate
  3. Add Crack pepper
  4. Once it a nice golden colour take off heat and add a dash on honey and mix well.
  5. Let cool for 5 minutes everything should dry out a bit.

SERVING SUGESTIONS
This is a great morning or afternoon tea snack with a piece of fruit or vege.  You can also chop the nuts up a bit and toss through salad or sprinkle over a vege or chicken curry.
